IPL has created a special space in the hearts of Indian cricket fans. 10. Shaun Marsh
Shaun has a top score of 115 from 69 balls and he had been associated with Kings XI Punjab since 2008. The match in which he scored this high score was played against Kolkata Knight Riders. He had a strike rate of 166.66 in the game and the match was played in the first season of IPL.
9. Wriddhiman Saha
On 9thrank, we have Saha who scored a top score of 115 in 55 balls. He played the match for Kings XI Punjab and he played that match against Kolkata Knight Riders. He is still associated with Kings XI Punjab and he also played for Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
8. Michael Hussey
Michael has the highest score of 116 and he played 54 balls to reach that score. Michael played the match for Chennai Super Kings and the match was played against Kings XI Punjab. He also played in IPL for Mumbai Indians in 2014 and that was the last season of IPL he played for. He later took retirement from cricket.
7. Andrew Symonds
On 7thrank, we have Andrew Symonds on the list and he has a top score of 117 runs in just 53 balls. Andrew played his last IPL match for Mumbai Indians and he also played for Deccan Chargers for a brief period of time. This Australian cricketer had been in some of the major controversies with Harbhajan Singh over racism issues. In one of the interview, Andrew stated that he took retirement because he wanted to concentrate on his family life.
6. Paul Valthaty
Paul mainly played for Indian cricket team and in 2009 he started playing IPL for Rajasthan Royals. He was associated with the team for 2 years. Later in 2011, he joined Kings XI Punjab and he played for the team till 2013. At present, he is not playing for any team. His highest score had been 120 in 63 balls. He played that match for Kings XI Punjab and the match was played against Chennai Super Kings.
5. Virendra Sehwag
The list would remain incomplete without the name of legendary Virendra Sehwag. Sehwag played in IPL till 2015 and he made a position for himself in this list by scoring 122 runs in just 58 balls. He has another record of the highest score against Deccan Chargers. In the match, he scored 119 runs in 56 balls. Sehwag had been really popular for his aggressive style of batting and he was associated with Kings XI Punjab till 2015. Prior to joining Kings XI Punjab, Sehwag also played for Delhi Daredevils from the first season of IPL to 2013.
4. Murali Vijay
Next on our list is Murali Vijay and at present, he plays for Kings XI Punjab. He also played for Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings. As per the records, highest score made by Murali is 127 runs in 56 balls. He played that match for Chennai Super Kings and the match was played against Rajasthan Royals. He had a strike rate of 226. 78 in the game.
3. AB de Villiers
On 3rdrank, we have Ab de Villiers. He is a South African cricketer and he also plays for a domestic team in his country. As per the records, De Villiers started his IPL Career with Delhi Daredevils in 2008. He played for Delhi Daredevils for three years before being auctioned again. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2011. Since then he had been playing with Royal Challengers Bangalore. The highest score of De Villiers is 133 and 129. He made the score in 59 and 52 balls respectively.
2. Brendon Barrie McCullum
the Second position has been secured by Brendon who is a player from New Zealand. He scored the highest score of 158 runs in 73 balls. His strike rate in the game was of 216.43 and he played that match for Kolkata Knight Riders. In the opposition, he had Royal Challengers Bangalore and the match was played in the year 2008. At present, he is associated with Gujarat Lions and he also played for Chennai Super Kings and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
1. Chris Gayle
The first rank has been taken away by Chris Gayle. He scored an invincible score of 175 runs in just 66 balls. His strike rate in the match was 265.16 and he was playing the match for Royal Challengers Bangalore. On the other side, he had Pune Warriors and he played this match in April 2013. Even today, he is associated with Royal Challengers Bangalore and prior to playing for RCB, he played for Kolkata Knight Riders. He also holds two more records of scoring 128 and 117 runs in 62 and 57 balls. One of these matches was played against Gujarat Lions and the other one was played against Kings XI Punjab.
