Priyamani began her career in 2003 with a Tamil film called “Kangalal Kaithu Sei” which was not a big success and later she started doing some Telugu and Malayalam movies. Her Telugu debut in “Pellaina Kothalo” gave her a good recognition and her career gained pace. The real success came in 2007 with a Tamil movie called “Paruthiveeran”, which fetched her Tamil Nadu State Film Award as well as the prestigious National Award for Best Actress.
