Step 1: You have to visit ‘Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal’ operated by ‘Unique Identification Authority of India’, Government of India. Here is the link to it – https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/update
Step 2: Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number at the first empty box next to text ‘Enter your Aadhaar number:’ (You will get your 12 digits Aadhaar number mentioned on your Aadhaar card received).
Step 3: Enter the captcha at the second empty box just below ‘Text Verification (Required)’ text. If the captcha is not clear you may refresh and get the new captcha to enter.
Step 4: Click on ‘Send OTP’ tab to receive one time password to your present registered mobile number. Enter this OTP in the respective box and click on ‘login’ tab.
Step 5:Now a new page will be uploaded with the information about fields to update or correct. Here you have the chance to choose what you want to update online. The available options are Name, Gender, Mobile, Address, Date of Birth and Email ID. In our case you have to select Mobile and click on ‘Submit’ so that you can update the new mobile number in the next page.
Step 6: Enter the correct mobile number that you want to link to your Aadhaar card under Enter data for update. Now click on ‘Submit update request’ tab.
Step 7: A new page will open with your new mobile number. Check whether it is correct or not and click on declaration statement. To go to next page click on ‘Proceed’ tab.
