In India, the Pop Idol formula is referred to as “Indian Idol” series. Since 2004 it has been broadcasted on Sony Entertainment Television. Winner of Indian Idol Season 2
The winner of Indian Idol season 2 is Sandeep Acharya. On December 15, 2013, after contracting a disease that led to jaundice, Acharya passed away. His health deteriorated, and he was sent urgently to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. He was attending a wedding ceremony in Bikaner when his condition deteriorated, requiring his family to transport him to the hospital, where he later passed away. His younger sibling alerted the media about his passing. Acharya finished second in the “Golden Voice of India.” He was the Season 2 winner of Indian Idol.
