Step 1: Visit the official website of Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu or click here instead http://ceotamilnadu.nic.in/
Step 2: On the home page, you will find the option Electoral services, select the option electoral services.
Step 3: Now, from the list of options that appearsunder electoral services, select the option “Register as a Voter”.
Step 4: A form appears on the screen, you will have to fill in the form completely with all the requested details.
Step 5: On the form, there will be a section where you will have to upload the documents as the proof of the details entered. The first field in this section is to upload “Your Photograph”, to upload click the “Choose File” button below and then a dialogue box pops up on the screen, now select the passport size photo (jpg, png, bmp, jpeg) from your saved file destination on the device and then hit the “open” button.
Step 6: Next field will be to upload the “Age-Proof”,to upload the age proof click the button “Choose File” below and a dialogue box pops up on the screen, select the Age proof document (jpg, png, bmp, jpeg) from your saved file destination on the device and then click the “open” button. After the file gets uploaded, select the type of document uploaded from the option below using the drop-down menu.
Step 7: Next and the last will be to upload the “Address proof”, click the “Choose File” button below to upload and a dialogue box will appear, now, select the Address proof document (jpg, png, bmp, jpeg) from your saved file location on the device and then click the “open” button and the file will be uploaded. After the file gets uploaded, select the type of document uploaded from the option below using the drop-down menu.
Step 8: Now, after successful completion of the above procedures, fill in the declaration form section on the form, enter all the details as requested on the form and then click “Submit” button below.
Once the form is submitted, a Booth Level Officer (BLO) will visit your residential address to verify the details entered and on successful verification, the application processing continues. Once approved, the voters’ ID card will be sent to your residential address by post.
PS: When you submit the form 6 the server will display an acknowledgment slip on the screen. This slip will have reference ID on it, save this reference ID for tracking the form application status online.

The Form 6 once submitted will take almost 25 to 50 days for the voters’ ID card to be delivered to your residential address by registered post. However, by this time you can track the status of the application submitted.

step 2: On the home screen of National Voters’ Services Portal you will find the option “Track application Status”, select this option

A voters’ ID card cannot be downloaded from online. Not only in this state, does the Election Commission of India not provide this option in any of the states in India. This means there is no way to download voters’ ID card online. However, the voters’ ID card details can be downloaded through another method.

Step 2: On the home screen page, you will find on the right-hand side a heading “Citizen Information” with two options below it. Select the “Booth, AC, and PC” option or click here instead http://electoralsearch.in/
Step 3: Now, a new page appears on the screen with two options “Search by Details” and “Search by EPIC No”, select one of the options and a fill in the form that appears below this includes Name, Husbands name, date of birth, gender, State, and district. Enter all the details carefully as requested and submit the form.
Step 4: Once, the filling task is completed, click the “Search” button below
If, your name is added to the voters’ list, the page will display your name on the screen. Click this name and then the details will appear on the screen. Click on the print button on the down bottom of the screen and the details will be downloaded and printed.
